A Place For Us National has been an organization that has been supporting children of all ethnicities for over 25 years and teaching young people to meet their potential through their American Spitrit Youth Summit and Conference that was developed in the 90′s with the support of Whoopi Goldberg and others.
Now you can help this spirit continue, by giving these new leaders the opportunity to show their leadership at this very impoortant gathering, inspired by the stories of the high-achievers of our country and they will discover the important role of leadership that will help our city and states future when we have such outstanding future adults.
The Leadership Goal is to introduce Junior National Scholars to communication, problem solving and teamwork and examine leadership in a historical context and focus on applying critical leadership skills and explore ways to make a difference when they return home to their schools and communities.
The Leadership Objective is to have them examine the specific leadership traits exhibited by the most prominent and important leaders in the United States history. Identifying future leadership development opportunities: by interacting in a cooperative manner with peers from different leadership groups: and by researching and evaluating leadership in our nation’s history through experiential learning. In 10 years these young people could be the leaders representing our state and country as Honorary Congressional Board of Advisers part of our 44 United States Senators, or as a part of our 212 State Representatives.
